What You Need
1/2 pound of ground beef
Worcestershire sauce
1 Egg
1/3 packet of dry onion soup mix
1/2 tsp of black pepper
2/3 cup of cheddar cheese
1 roll of crescents
What To Do
Preheat oven to 375
In a skillet heat a small amount of oil and brown meat. Drain excess fat.
In a medium size bowl mix – 1/2 cup of cheese, onion soup mix, couple drops of Worcestershire sauce, pepper; meat.
Unroll the crescents. Place a rounded tablespoon of the meat mixture towards the larger end of the crescent dough
Roll – I personally made them into little pockets.
Place crescents onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops of the dough with an egg wash ( simply break and egg in a bowl and whisk egg until well blended and 1 tablespoon of water to the mix).
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the egg wash and bake for 10 – 15 minutes.

I added a veg puree, like I do to all ground beef recipes. The kids love it. So simple. Can be made ahead.

Made these tonight for the Hubbs..quick, easy & I added 2 T. Dill pickle relish. Tasted just like a burger but without all the bread! Oh, and the Hubbs liked them SO much, he asked me to make them again this week!

I could have sworn I had crescent rolls in the fridge…Nope I sure didn’t but i had a can of 10 biscuits. I adapted this to just roll them out flat, put the filling in and cover either with the other half of the biscuit roll or use a whole biscuit on top to make them bigger. and finished the recipe. They are just fluffier than the crescent rolls.

I loved these! I made a low fat version with 85% lean ground beef, and reduced fat crescents. I eyeballed the onion soup mix, worcestershire sauce, and pepper, and tasted as I mixed. They turned out so good! My husband is a picky eater and usually gets really nervous when I attempt recepies I find on Pinterest, but he loved this one. I dipped mine in a horseradish and ketchup. I’m going to try adding pickles next time! Thanks for sharing:)

I think this is a fabulous recipe, but I tweaked it a titch! I made them into mini crescent shepherd pies and holy cats they were fabulous! Mixed veg, mashed spuds and the same meat recipe as above. I used 2 crescents per pocket for size. Big hit with the family!!

I’m going to try these tonight. Has anyone ever tried adding hamburger toppings (ketchup, mustard, chili, onions, etc.) into the packets instead of dipping them? Do you think it would work fine?

Made them for dinner tonight. They were delicious and my 5 year old LOVED them. I did modify it because I didn’t have onion soup mix. Added chopped onions and hamburger seasoning in while the hamburger was browning. Also, I used 93% lean ground beef and I think it makes it tough to get all the filling in only 8 crescent rolls. If using lower fat meat, I would use less meat, especially if you want to add other things in as well. Or else use a little more meat and double the number of rolls. Also, I think I would use more cheese inside next time.

Made these for dinner last night! I changed the recipe just a tad by actually browning the beef -with- the onion soup mix and didn’t measure the other seasonings/cheese – just added until it tasted good. But it was one of the easiest, most delicious snack meals ever.

A packet of ranch dressing mix (same amount) works good … then you can just add onions or bacon to boost it up a little! So delish!

These are absolutely delicious! My family of 5 gobbled them up! I had to double the recipe bc my boys are huge eaters (they ate 5 each)and I added chopped pickles on top of the meat before wrapping them up!!! Sooooooo good!!

Yay! Finally a winner! I have been trying lots of new recipes lately, we were stuck in a dinner rut. The past few recipes I have tried have not been hits with enough members of our family of six, but this one was! Even our two year old had seconds. Will definitely make again!
