Tequila: We have only tried this with silver tequila. I’m not sure how other alcohols would work.
Agave: If you don’t have agave nectar you can substitute with honey or maple syrup.
Spicy: To make this a skinny spicy margarita and 2 small slices of deseeded jalapeño.
Other add ins: Muddled strawberries, blueberries, blackberries or cucumber would be delicious in this recipe.
Lime Juice: Do not use bottled lime juice. Fresh lime juice tastes much better.
Orange Juice: I haven’t tried substituting orange juice for other juices but I think it would work. I think pineapple juice would work best. Check out this Pineapple Margarita Recipe!
