EP Marine specializes in advising, designing, assembling, and supplying powertrains for boats and sloops. Converting a boat or sloop into an electric vessel (EV) is a complex process that requires technical knowledge and experience. At EP Marine, we are ready to assist our customers in realizing their projects. We do this by continuously developing new technologies and designing complete EV systems, enabling our customers to bring their own projects to life.

We undertake assignments for both unique projects and the development of conversion kits for popular boats and sloops from various eras. Our expertise enables us to provide customized solutions that perfectly align with the needs of our customers.
How do we deliver our technology? We develop custom conversion kits from Drachten, Friesland. Here, the design process is conducted to fully electrify existing boats. In Drachten, all technical challenges are identified, and a solution is designed to ultimately make a vessel fully electric. Our conversion kits are supplied by our parent company from India, after which all components are assembled in Drachten. From the engine to the battery pack and wiring harness, we deliver our conversion kits to specialized partner installers across Europe.

Installing Electric Drivetrain
- Install the electric motor in the correct position in the hull of the boat.
- Position the inverter (controller) that regulates the flow of power from the battery to the motor.
- Install the new transmission or modify the existing transmission for the electric motor.
Installing Battery System
- Choose the appropriate battery technology and install the batteries safely.
- Design and implement the battery management system (BMS) to monitor and control the batteries.
- Connect all accessories, such as lighting, heating, and air conditioning, to the new electrical system.
